Rutgerus F. Jongbloets, PT, COMT, CSCS
Rutgerus is a native of Tilburg, The Netherlands. He graduated from Hague College for Physical Therapy in The Hague, The Netherlands in 1992. He earned his certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2004 through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Certified by Maitland Australian Physiotherapy in Orthopedic Manual Therapy in 2011.
Rutgerus has 19 years experience as a Physical Therapist in a wide variety of settings with eventually specialization in orthopedics and manual therapy. His drive to offer the best service possible to his patients has led him to create Physiofit in April 2002.
Eric Keplinger, PTA, CWT, STS
Eric was born and raised in Houma, LA. He is a graduate of Delgado Community College in 1998 with an Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assisting degree. Certified in weight training and credentialed Strength Training Specialist.
He has participated in extensive continuing education including medical exercise therapy, strain/counterstrain, muscle energy techniques and Mulligan. Eric attended numerous manual therapy classes with IAOM and Maitland.
Eric was awarded the "Recognition of Advanced Proficiency for the Physical Therapist Assistant in Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy", by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Gino Santiny, LOTR, CEAS, CESP
Gino was born and raised in Grand Isle, LA. He is a graduate from Northeast Louisiana University with a BA in Psychology and BS in Occupational Therapy in 1996. Gino served on the state board for the Louisiana Occupational Therapy Association for 5 years. He has specialized in hand therapy and is certified in functional capacity evaluations, ergonomics and job site analysis.
He also continues to attend ongoing education in advanced treatment techniques for the upper extremities. He currently is working on the final phases to obtain a Doctorate of Natural Medicine.
Together with Rutgerus, he opened Physiofit of Golden Meadow/Galliano in the fall of 2002 and is the clinical manager of our Galliano location.
Kyle Hotard, LOTR
Kyle is a native of Houma, LA. He graduated from Texas Tech University Health and Sciences Center in 1997 with a degree in Occupational Therapy.
Kyle has experience in acute care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, home health care and educational settings. Kyle specializes in neurological and musculoskeletal disorders, orthopedics and functional reconditioning.
Attending ongoing continued education seminars to expand his expertise and learn the latest techniques available.
Freddie Breaux III, MPT
Freddie Breaux was born and raised in Gheens LA. He is a graduate of Nicholls State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree / Pre Physical Therapy. Freddie attended his post graduate education at LSU Health Science Center of New Orleans and earned a Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2007 with clinical focus on outpatient orthopedic care.
Freddie is currently continuing his education through the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine and Maitland Australian Physiotherapy, working toward a Manual Therapy Certification. His dedication to continuing education allows him to stay up to date with the most current research, exercise and manual techniques available.
He is the clinical manager of our Raceland location.
Jennifer Plaisance, PT, MS
Jennifer, born in Raceland LA, is a 2002 graduate of LSU in Baton Rouge with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She earned her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree in 2004 at Texas Women's University of Houston.
She worked and built up experience in a variety of settings such as acute care, traumatic brain injury, outpatient private practice and hospital based outpatient care. This experience includes lymphedema management, neurology, pilates, aquatic therapy, athletic injuries and orthopedics. Like the other therapists at Physiofit, she continues to attend multiple continued education courses per year to enhance her skills and remain up to date with all the latest developments in our field.
Travis Toups PT, DPT
Travis was born and raised in Raceland, LA. He graduated in 2009 from the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at LSU. He has a Bachelor's in Fitness and Wellness and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
Travis gained experience in Natchitoches Regional Medical Center, treating out- and in-patients. He is currently working on an advanced degree in Orthopedic Manual Therapy through Maitland Australian Physiotherapy.
